What is Go Rewards and Should You Sign Up?

Mid-2021 when I received an email about the integration of GetGo of Cebu Pacific Air and Go Rewards Program. The email contained the conversion rate of my GetGo points to Go Rewards and initially, I felt that it was a bummer because numerically speaking, it seems that my points will become smaller.

However, realistically, there’s nothing much I can do about it since they own the program and they can make all the changes that they want. And also, since it was the height of the pandemic, no one was allowed to travel anyways (with some exceptions).

A few months ago, I have decided to use my Go Rewards points for grocery and now, I do appreciate the flexibility that Go Rewards offer.

What is Go Rewards?

Go Rewards is a loyalty program that lets you earn and redeem points with Robinsons’ partner establishments such as Cebu Pacific Air, Robinson’s Department Store, and more.

As I have mentioned earlier, I used to have a GetGo membership and since it was integrated to Go Rewards, I became a Go Rewards member in mid-2021.

How to Join Go Rewards?

If you’re a GetGo member as I was, then your account should have been transitioned to Go Rewards last 2021.

If you weren’t a member, then you can easily sign up by downloading the app on your mobile phone. Once you have downloaded and installed the app

1. Click on the “Join Us” button.

2. Choose, “Sign up now”

3. Fill out all the needed information.

4. Tap on “Continue” and a verification code will be sent to the mobile number you have registered.

5. Enter the verification code that you have received.

6. Set a password.

And that’s it! You’re done!

Membership is free, however, if you wish to have a physical card, then you will have to pay P100 at participating Go Rewards partner stores.

Personally, I just opted for the virtual card and didn’t get the physical card anymore.

How to Earn Go Rewards Points?

Earning points is really easy! All you have to do is to present your Go Rewards QR Code every time you make payments with their partner merchants.

For Cebu Pacific Air online booking, all you have to do is to type in your Go Rewards membership number on the given field during the booking process.

Here’s a list of Go Rewards partners (in alphabetical order):

  • BeautyMNL.
  • Caltex
  • Cebu Pacific Air
  • Daiso Japan
  • GoHotels.ph
  • Handyman
  • Ministop
  • No Brand

How Many Go Rewards Points Can You Earn?

In order to find out how many points can you earn, you will have to click on the name of the partner merchant on the Go Rewards partner page.

For example, if you want to know how many Go Rewards points you can earn with your Cebu Pacific Air booking, just click on Cebu Pacific Air on the Go Rewards partner page and it will give you the information that you need.

You can also click here, to see a more detailed explanation on how to earn Go Reward points when you book your flight with Cebu Pacific Air.

How to Redeem?

Redemption is also very easy. All you have to do is to present proof of Go Rewards membership (physical card or the QR code) at any of the participating stores.

I have tried this thrice already. The first time was at The Marketplace and the other two transactions were with Robinsons Supermarket. All I did was present my QR Code (via the mobile app).

I was also asked if I was going to pay the bill in full or just partially.

The redemption as of the time of writing is 1 Point = 1 Peso. Please do note though that points are not convertible to cash.

I have not tried using my points yet for booking a flight with Cebu Pacific Air and will update this post once I do so.

Should You Sign Up with?

Definitely yes, especially if you frequently shop at Robinsons Supermarket and Department Store and also if you frequently fly using Cebu Pacific Air. Membership is free and getting the physical card cost only P100 (and it’s also optional).

Aside from earning and redeeming points, they also have other services such as Go Rewards Debit Card and Go Rewards Prepaid Virtual Card. I’m not sure though if there’s a need for me to use those products but if ever I do so, then I’ll share here on my blog my experience.

If you need more information about the Go Rewards program, check out their FAQ page here.
