Netflix is probably one of the most subscribed services around the world especially nowadays when a lot of people are stuck at home because of the pandemic. I’m here to share with you guys some tips on how to save money on your Netflix Account (in the Philippines).
I’ve been a Netflix subscriber for quite some time now and I do enjoy having a Netflix subscription. I love watching movies and TV series and having Netflix at home gave me access to a lot of wonderful shows from different parts of the world. By the way, this is not a sponsored post about Netflix. Me and my family really use this service.

Share Your Account with Family and Friends
One of the best ways to save money on Netflix is to share or split the cost of the Netflix Premium Account. In the Philippines, the Netflix Premium Account costs P549 and it can be used by 4 multiple screens at once.
Personally, I share my account with my family so they can also watch Netflix. They do get to save a lot of money on Netflix since I’m the one paying for the subscription LOL!
You can also split the cost with your friends if you want to so you can all save money on Netflix.
Get Netflix with Your Mobile Account
If you’re just a single Netflix user then you can incorporate Netflix on your mobile phone plan.
With Smart Philippines, Netflix Mobile Plan is incorporated in Smart Signature Plans. You can check out this link if you want to know more about these plans.
Only Pay for What You Use
If you are just a single user then you don’t have to get the Premium account since you only need one access per screen. The thing though is, if you prefer watching in 4K + HDR then you would have to pay for the Premium account since it’s the only account that offers that option.
Unsubscribe If You’re Not Going to Use it
If you’re not going to use your Netflix account for a long period of time perhaps due to travel or any other reasons, then you can just unsubscribe for the time being and just re-subscribe once you are going to use this again.
I’ve done this in the past because I know that I’ll be very busy for some time and won’t be using it.
Use Cashback Credit Cards to Pay for Netflix
You can use cashback credit cards to pay for your Netflix subscription to save a small amount of money. Bear in mind though that not all cash back credit cards offer cashback on streaming services so it would be best to contact your bank to confirm.
Final Thoughts
As of now, these are the only things that I could think of that could help you save money on your Netflix subscription. Hopefully, in the future, they would offer a discounted quarterly/bi-annual or annual subscription to users.
Netflix is truly a wonderful service with so many shows to stream from. I wish I had a friend to share a netflix account with. One of my friends just cancelled theirs so it’s been impossible for me to enjoy Netflix.
Ah well. Youtube it is.
Thanks David for dropping by. You can get a Netflix Mobile Plan? I think it’s the cheapest available for single user. I’m not sure though if this option is available to all countries.
