I have decided to still write my Q3 2020 Blogging Report even if I didn’t touch my blog again for the last three months. I have written my last article last July 13, 2020, and have only logged in twice from July up to this date to update the plugins of my blog.
The reason why I have decided to still write this article up is to remind myself that I should be able to do better in balancing my time between the things that I do in life.
It’s been a while since I logged in to my blog due to being so much busy with my main gig which is online selling. However, even with inactivity, the blog has grown a lot in terms of traffic.
I regret not writing in the last three months as I really enjoy blogging. However, I find it hard to balance my time between my main gig and my blog.
The Struggle is Real
Since the quarantine restrictions eased up a bit starting July 2020, I have spent most of my time purchasing new stocks a.k.a thrifting for new supplies and buying online from other sellers.
I have also been busy taking care of sales and shipping items to customers. I’m a one-man team and juggling all of the tasks is a bit time consuming and most of the time, exhausting.
I’m very thankful that local sales have returned a bit even though it’s still just a fraction of what used to be before the pandemic. I will write a separate post about my observation on why sales are low to share my insights with fellow online sellers out there.
Traffic Growth from Q2 – Q3 2020
Despite not updating my blog for three months, the traffic grew a lot. Although, is not as much as what other bloggers have. It’s a huge jump from what used to get in the past few months. If you want to see what my traffic was in the last quarter, check out my Q2 2020 Blogging Report.
I identified the reasons for the huge growth of traffic and those are:
- Google has finally indexed my pages
- I have written articles that provide value to some people
- And most importantly, I have written articles about keywords that are being searched by people
Here’s a snapshot of what the blog traffic was from April – September 2020:
And here’s a snapshot of what the blog traffic was from July – September 2020:
My blog gets about less than 20 users per day in April 2020 and in September it’s now hovering at 50+ per day. And it’s even much higher now in October 2020 where it’s currently hovering around 100+ per day.
I’m pretty much surprised and I’m actually happy about it because I can see that what I was doing is finally working. So, if you’re a relatively new blog, don’t fret out if you’re not getting any traffic yet.
Google indexing takes time.
As long as you focus on writing quality content based on keywords that people actually search online, then the traffic will follow.
Adsense and Other Blog Income
Just like what I have said in the past Blogging Report, I will not be including blogging income because frankly, I have not yet decided what to do about it. I do have Adsense on this blog. But my main focus is to learn how to blog and grow traffic first.

I hope that I could write more in the coming days so I can continue honing my writing skills. I have revised my weekly schedule of activities to help make this possible. Balancing my time between various important responsibilities is very hard but I really want to make it work.
How about you? Do you also struggle in juggling your time between blogging and your other responsibilities at home and at work? I would love to hear your suggestions on how you keep up with all of your tasks and responsibilities.
